Vada got a cute Learning To Sew kit from family friends and she is thrilled. She has made a card holder, a small pouch, and a few other items. She has learned from her mother and grandmothers to enjoy making things.

Vada had her 6th year birthday on September 10. We did go out to dinner at 1847 Grill, their favorite the next evening. The girls are treated like queens or princesses which they thrive on.

Moon Arising September 2024

This month we get a full moon and an eclipse. This should have been for last night yet it rained.
The full moon this month is supposed to appear closer this month so appear much bigger which it has. I was able to catch the full moon coming up above the hills and trees the other night. It was very striking and was bracketed by the birch tree and the garden fence forward and the bigger trees more distant.

Sunrise Apocalypse

Last evening a surprise thunderstorm moved through from the south, southeast. Lots of lighting strikes within the clouds yet some to the ground. Lots of thunder and some rain though not heavy. The storm surprised many.
The sky was very strange in appearance due to wildfire smoke, dusk, the storm and sunset. It was almost apocalyptic. Sunrise this morning had the sun glaring through the smoke and some clouds above the mountains. A bit of an eerie look.

First Day of School

Two little girls were excited to start school today. They are both going to SandRidge Charter School. Vada will be in first grade and she is growing up so much. Victoria is going for a shorter time to pre-school. Their excitement was beyond belief and I hope this continues for a long time. They are not little girls anymore.
51st Anniversary Morning
The sunrise was quite striking this morning of Bob's and my 51st Anniversary. We were such young people. Not much planned today other than odds and ends and hope to get some sewing done.
